Our vision is of a life-sustaining Island Province of BASILAN. We are committed to the achievement of a dignified, PEACEFUL, and equitable existence. A sustainable Basilan will have a growing economy that provides equitable opportunities for a healthy, safe, high quality of life and satisfying livelihoods for current and future generations. Our constituents will protect its environment, its natural resource base, and the functions and viability of natural systems on which all life depends. Thus, the Project – Health, Education,and Livelihood for the People of Basilan.

Over the past 35 years, Basilan has not enjoyed phenomenal success in disseminating the Basilan ideal of democracy, basic human rights, and a decent quality of life. Today, this Basilan dream needs to be attended to holistically include political peace, environmental protection, economic progress, and social equity. Seeking sustainable solutions and taking sustainable action must become an integral part of our daily lives. The fundamental principles of sustainability should serve to guide not only our individual lives, but also those of businesses, communities, and the Island as a whole.

Project H.E.L.P. fosters the personal growth of citizens and improvements to our communities can produce greater satisfaction and hope, increased productivity and achievement, and an enhanced quality of life.

H – HEALTH. There is 2^nd and 3^rd degree malnourishment in many municipalities. There is evident high morbidity and mortality rate attributed to the limited health facilities and services. Service hospitals are few and not equipped.

E – EDUCATION. Relatively low rate of functional literacy and high rates of school drop-outs prevail in the Island mainly due to the poor economic standing of the Basileños.

L – LIVELIHOOD. There is limited income/employment opportunities in the municipalities and the limited skills on the part of the labor force. Basileños just depend too much on seasonal coconut harvest.

P – PEOPLE. The Island Province of Basilan has great potentials that can be tapped for social development. Foremost of these are its people, the Basileños. Given the necessary motivation and technology, they can meaningfully participate in the democratization and expansion of health, education, livelihood resource and other social services program if properly coordinated. They are capable of reaching more people in both urban and rural areas.rise up from the ruins of political, social , cultural and emic uncertainties.

Objectives :

To promote an integrated balanced socio-economic development involving government instrumentalities, non-government organizations and socially conscious business institutions in the socio-economic evolution of the Island Province of Basilan;

To design, package, establish and operate confidence building projects to prove and demonstrate the efficacy of an integrated socio-economic enterprise as a catalyst for the development of Basilan Island Province and to share the fruits and benefits of such project enterprise through training programs, technology sharing and transfer systems; To train practitioners in the field of socio-economic development at the barangay levels to facilitate and accelerate socio-economic development and contribute sustainable systems in humanity’s war against mass poverty;

To provide such socio-economic enterprises, bridges and access channels to mainstream economy, competencies in the various fields of knowledge, capital resources, technologies and system, local, national and international markets, business incubation, and such other forms of material assistance and services normally accessible to the more developed economies;

To mobilize all possible resources, human and material, local, national, and international, public and private, aggrupations and individuals, to carry out this socio-economic development programs and lay the foundation for a strong and democratic Island Province of Basilan.

Their Current Project Right  Now:

First fund raising activity this March 15, 2008. It is a Bingo fund raising activity through SM North Edsa Bingo Center. It is an on-line bingo game participated by 8 other SM outlets in Metro Manila. SM North is our Benefactor, wherein we will be given an initial of 2,500 tickets @ Php100 each. We will be getting a net of PHP20 per ticket sold for the project.
If  this will be successful in the 1^st event, SM North Edsa might be able to make it their every payday special…. meaning every 15th day of the month can be given to us for our said project.
