Earth Hour is an event that helps in the awareness of Environmental Issues, thus March 29, 2008 was globally mark for this day wherein some participating cities across the globe will do their share in this event by turning or shutting off lights on selective establishments and well known buildings and city landmarks for an hour, starting at 08:00 pm, on the same day.

Manila will be one of the participating cities in the world and big malls like SM (Shoemart) like the Mall of Asia, and other well known places like the entire stretch of Roxas Boulevard and some buildings across this road will be likely to be seen also turning their lights off at the strike of the time scheduled for this event.

Such event like this is a good start for people across the globe to realize that we have our own obligations and responsibilities in doing our own individual effort for saving our mother planet.
