I must admit that for someone who blogs about topics that relates to my country the Philippines, and such personal insights on Pinoys in particular, I can personally reveal that It was also my admiration to such great documentary reporters that had influence me to be into blogging.

I had a group of friends before, who became my close collagues when I was involved in a theatre group during my college days. We had this small part time media business that we organized among ourselves. Our first project was to create a documentary for a public official who will be having his 1st death anniversary.

To involve in a theater group is so much a learning experience, because you tend to have some knowledge and idea of almost each part of the process. From the actors, script writer, production staff, director, technical staff etc. etc.And most of the times, involvement in theatre workshop or activtities is like somehow opening your eyes and trigger you to be become sensitive to your society and environment. Maybe since some theatre scripts are base on reality stories that is happening to us everyday, it’s almost the same as movies or telenovelas anyway, but doing it with live audiences and just having a small resources and being creative in doing some visuals on stage background is what makes it more challenging.

However, though I only had this small experience of being involve in a small documentary film project. From that day on, I always had this personal inspiration for the more famous and the best Pinoy Documentary Reporters, and one of those in my list is Mr. Howie Severino.

Howie Severino and his staff is a real pro when it comes to creating documentaries, and those years of experience as a reporter has already make him and their documentary program to be really considered world class, due to the many awards they already received locally and abroad.

As a blogger and a Howie Severino fan, maybe it’s about time that he should have a chance to be featured even in my not so famous blog. How it could be a great privilege if a group of bloggers could meet him up, close and personal and more bloggers featuring him instead.

Let me share you his Blogsite, and hope you enjoy and learn.
