It was good thing that sometimes you tend to know other people through some close colleagues with same interest as well as advocacies. It was some chance that I am sharing with my ‘Housemates’ some of my personal experiences and music composition, and one of them just told me about one of their old work colleague who also use to compose songs, do his own video and at the same time, do some advocacy work through music. The only way I can share some thoughts with this guy that my housemates are telling me is through a friendster connection. So I decided to add Armin, which is by the way his name, on my friendster account. He immediately approved my friendster request and after a while I personally sent him some short message and link regarding some of our own music composition. However regarding our music and my band, I’ll create a separate post for this ok!
He did reply right away and guess what?, I was really impress regarding the video he created for one of his original band’s composition. Armin compose songs which are quite nationalistic in form and contains clear messages of reaching out to the oppress and ordinary Filipino masses.
Just like our band, both Armin’s band and ours are not really after too much fame or money, but not being a hypocrite, honestly musicians and composers do dream of earning through their talent, but for us maybe we first enjoy what we work, 2nd share what we do, 3rd help others in what we are doing and lastly if given the chance to earn to it, well why not, but that will be maybe the last thing and not really the first mere intent. But as musician, we dream that our songs and composition could have at least become popular to more people so that at least the message and content of the songs would reach out to more masses.
Hope you are touch by Armin’s Music and video, and as an indie pinoy musician, here is my little effort to help out a fellow Pinoy musician and artist as well.
Know about all about Armin and his Band at his friendster account. http://profiles.friendster.com/armincruz
All I can say this video tells the truth what really happening on our country. Corruption is every where.

Hi Kristine, thank you for viewing and supporting Armin’s video, as an Independent Musician and Composer like Armin, he really does appreciate it since his noble cause in creating such art in music and videos like this is to help enlighten our kababayan on our current state.

It does sums it all up. Pretty sad but a lot of these politicians have no heart. They’re only there for their own agendas.

Yeah, the song emotes the real situation that we are in today, and henceforth, brandishes a thematic sense of patriotism that is lacking in most of the youth now.
Unfortunately, this kind of music still has to find its way across the senses of our youth. I mean, it doesn’t sell to the youth as much as the contemporary songs that razes the young ones’ craze now.
What would be simply ‘noise’ to us in the older generation is what has hooked the younger generations.. like I can’t imagine how this song titled LOW – which keeps repeating the title but just the same it sends my teenage daughter, and other kids her age, rumbling and flopping in an equally confusing dance steps!!
Ahhhh.. I don’t quite understand the so-called generation gap.
Nice post !!

Good day! you said here that you also have a band. do you also have songs that tackle social issues? I am currently doing my research entitled “Content Analysis of Development-Oriented Independent Filipino Song” and i thought, maybe i can include songs of your band if you will permit it. As much as i would like to send you an email about this, i could not find your email. i hope you can consider my request!
Thank you!
more power and God bless.

I really like this song. It delivers the real truth on what is really happening in our country today.
And I do hope that our youth will take notice and appreciate this song/music as much as I do.
So, Kudos to you my friend and to all the Pinoy talents out there.
